I had the same problem with my opensprinkler 3 connecting and disconnecting from wifi. I seem to have resolved it by disabling Wi-Fi Agile Multiband on my router wifi settings. Link below has some good suggestions for improving IOT device compatibility for ASUS routers.

Looks like the opensprinkler data is agreeing with the openweathermap data.The bad news:
Open weather map says we have had 8mm of rain which I am pretty sure we haven’t had and my own weather station says zero precipitation last 24 hours. Understand thats more of an issue with open weather map.You should be able to change your location in opensprinkler. Go to EditOptions>System and click on the “location” field and it will bring up a map and you can select your location.
Similar here. It looks to me as if there is a software error in either the Openweather API or the Opensprinkler firmware. Its definately not getting the correct rainfall info.
Same issue here. In the end I have had to disable zimmerman and set a manual weather adjustment which is a real pain. If I use the automated then with the new weather source and code I get watering set to zero and the plants die.
How do I clear out the old WU API key? The latest firmware has hidden it and unfortunately whatever is running at present is simply not working (no watering happening). When I look in my export config I can see that the WU API key is still present in the config but if I try and manually edit the config to set the API key to “” and upload the edited version it doesn’t seem to work.
