I should also add that I don’t think weather adjustment has anything to do with the problem. I had forgotten where to find the ignore rain toggle. Ignore rain, however, IS checked. I also tried resetting the configuration to default thinking maybe something bad happened when I imported my old config. Still get the same results. The master valve won’t come on when OS detects rain.

Thanks for looking into it! Let me know if I need to do some testing from my side.

Thanks for the response Ray. There are checks next to ‘Use Master’ and ‘Ignore Rain’ for this station. To test I am toggling the ‘Normally Open’ box under weather settings to make the system think the rain sensor has been tripped. When I manually activate the station it turns green and I expect the valve for this station is physically open but Master remains red and the master valve remains closed. I did try to uncheck and recheck the ‘Use Master’ and ‘Ignore Rain’ boxes but that didn’t fix the problem. This station DOES activate the Master valve when rain is not detected.

This worked with previous firmware so I’m thinking it is in software. But I’m not ruling out that it could be user error! I didn’t mention in my original post, hardware version is 2.1.

I installed 2.0.5 last night on 2.1u hardware so I could set the ignore rain sensor bit on one of my stations. Everything looks good so far.

I found the problem. A solenoid was stuck open on my drip irrigation zone. I had to bleed pressure off the diaphragm to get it to close. Since that zone goes all around the house it sounded like all the zones were opening up. So this was completely unrelated to opensprinkler. Everything is working great. Thanks for the great project!

I did some more testing this morning and found that when any of the zones on the main board are activated ALL zones turn on. But if I only turn the zone on the expansion board on then the zones on the main board do not come on.

    Zone 1 – Master
    Zones 2-8 – Valves
    Expansion Zone 1 (zone 9) – Valve

So if I turn on any zone 2-8 the master AND all zones 2-8 open up. But if I turn on zone 9 only the master and zone 9 open up.
