@samer i have done the above request and the console capture from the web page inspector is as follows
there are two lines they are only warnings but thought i would post if this helps.

Hello Ray im seeing the same issues with the Station name showing reset and unable to change the text.
The following was done.
1. Original firmware was 2.1.7 (Hardware V3.0 DC – Clear front)
2. upgrade to version 2.1.9(r2) was done (this was mainly done as the controller was unable to connect to the wifi network and a hardware reset would not help, so i decided to do a firmware flash and used the newest firmware file, this allowed me to reconnect the unit to the wifi network and use normally)
3. when restore of backup from original 2.1.7 and now all stations wont allow the station name text to change and all display reset.is this a known bug or something new?
i have tried as per above to re-flash the unit with the same firmware and also a couple of versions of 2.1.9, (r1) and (r2) and still no luck.some help here would be great.
@samer thanks for that, so this is now fixed for the OWM service that was implemented? Or has something changed again?
Binary this looks like an interesting way to do this, I too have a PWS but don’t have it setup fully yet but may look into this down the track if the OWM system keeps failing to report rain events incorrectly.
Can this weewx run on a NAS by any chance as that would almost be ideal for me to log local data seeming most of the weather services now see to have lost their way with greed.
The main issue with OWM integration to OS is this out of control rain reporting I still don’t think we have had an official response from any of the Devs around what is causing this and by many accounts here renders the OS automatic watering useless.
I haven’t had time to try and actually setup a comparison between the numbers the OS reports vs talking directly to the OWM api but I guess this would be a good start to see if the problem lies in the OS or OWM api.

This seems to be happening to alot of people is it only people in Australia or is the same thing happening in USA as well?? Even with the posts so far in the tread we haven’t had any comments from ray or the developers hopefully they can add some input here to help us all.
Bit the bullet and gave it a try and worked no worries.
Although not all configuration comes across with the export, i noticed that the Zimmermen weather adjustment settings didnt come across for Temperature Rain and Humidity. other then this it all worked as expected.
V3 Hardware unit is now up and running.
