    … my password had a ‘!’ in it. Once I changed it to something else without that, it works. Thank you, drive through.

    I wonder if you could attach a usb extender cable to get the wifi away from the unit.

    Since the os is most likely based on debian, you will need to edit your interfaces file under /etc/network for the network setup. NTP should be configured with /etc/ntp.conf and the ntpd daemon.
