pablo666ParticipantI bought new TP-Link TL-SF1005D Version 12.0 and opensprinkler works fine. Everythink is OK. Old switch (TL-SF1005D Ver:7.0) is going to trash.
pablo666ParticipantUse PLC (Siemens S7-1200, Eaton Easy, Schneider Twido) [expensive, programming PLC skils] or if you are good at electronics and programming – arduino, STM32 nucleo, PIC Microchip or other platform [cheap, electronic board design, programming skils]
I think Eaton Easy is the best sollution. Programming PLC is in ladder diagram (relay logic) and there is plenty of documentation
sorry for my English 😉January 14, 2017 at 12:54 pm in reply to: My Opensprinkler DC loses network connectivity randomly #45202
pablo666ParticipantI had the same problem with old tp-link switch but after changing switch is ok. Another reason may be overheating the ENC28J60 chip Tray put (glue) on it some metal plate or small heat sink.
pablo666Participantstep down converter looses its current efficiency with broken diode. Also AP1501 may be broken to
pablo666ParticipantI think diode SS24 neer AP1501 is broken It should have 0,2V dropout (shotky diode)

pablo666ParticipantIt is now connected to very old D-Link DES1008 and I have no problems. Controler works stable and I always can log in. I have tried with my HUAWEI HG8245 optic fiber router and also works great for a long time, even Huawei has 1GBit lan.
I will buy new Tp-Link switch and test it with opensprinkler and i think (I have hope) it would be ok. Mayby my old version (TL-SF1005D Ver:7.0) has problems with ENC chip.
Thanks for replay. In my country is winter now so I have plenty of time to test all function of opensprinkler -
