SamerKeymasterThe refresh interval is currently hardcoded and cannot be adjusted.
The epoch time added is done by jQuery library when using
cache: false
option. This should represent the unix time stamp in milliseconds.
SamerKeymasterSorry for the confusion the way the name change is handled by Freshdesk is not what we expected.

SamerKeymasterThe support documents moved to OpenThings as we simply things for new devices. The article linked above can be found here: https://openthings.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000164006-using-a-different-server-for-ui-assets

SamerKeymasterIf you are using the “pws:” syntax then it will only poll that station so you should be good. Not sure why it didn’t work for you the first time but glad to hear it works now!
SamerKeymasterYes the latest firmware supports a granularity of seconds up to 16 hours of duration (don’t quote me on the exact max it’s an estimate as I’m not in front of the code/documentation).
SamerKeymasterThe email link should open the default mail client and have the message included. If this isn’t working, you are welcome to access the app by using the IP address in the browser. Open your favorite browser and goto: http://deviceip:port. Try the export from here as a file. Should work fine.
Thanks

SamerKeymasterWent ahead and added this: https://github.com/OpenSprinkler/OpenSprinkler-App/commit/829a6c63de4bafe620e632e846797a2b62c1e1de
Should be available in the next update.
Thanks!
SamerKeymasterStephen,
We are using “OpenThings” not “OpenWorld” but yes that’s the plan. https://openthings.io will be the parent site which has direct links and additonal marketing for all “Open-” products.
The usernames and passwords will be shared as well as user meta data allowing easy login across all sites using one account, correct. This is also going to allow us to integrate cloud sync with all the devices in the future.
Thanks!
SamerKeymasterThe cloud data on the server is encrypted using your password. If you changed your password or reset it your old data may still be using the old password. If you remember the old password, you may unlock the data and fix the issue.
Otherwise, please send a support ticket and we can reset your cloud data to prevent these warnings.
Thank you!

SamerKeymasterPlease use the user name and not the email to login on the app.

SamerKeymasterOpenSprinkler unit doesn’t have wifi so it’s not a direct comparison however the TP Link wireless bridge we sell is probably a little easier to setup then wireless on the Pi, but not by much.
With that said, I think outside of the wifi setup, the Arduino based OpenSprinkler would be easier to maintain and use for a new customer as the Pi version requires Linux skill (to restart service if any issues, manage possible OS issues, etc).
SamerKeymasterMicrosoft just accepted the latest build and should be available in the store soon. Hope this resolves the issue once and for all, please let me know.
Thank you!
SamerKeymasterHi Darin,
No problem! The default web port is 80 however since the Pi usually runs a web server OpenSprinkler uses 8080 so it doesn’t conflict. This wasn’t a recent change but the port is configurable so it’s possible you had a different port set.
SamerKeymasterOkay got a test device and found the error. This is being patched and released as 1.6.3.0. Should be available soon.
Thank you for your patience.
Update: Microsoft Developer Dashboard has been offline this afternoon however the app just now finally got submitted.
SamerKeymasterOkay I think it’s best to use your browser until a fix is performed for this issue.
Thank you
SamerKeymasterThe update just got approved and should show in the store soon.
SamerKeymasterThat’s the issue. If it doesn’t work we can go from there.
SamerKeymasterYes please append “:8080” to the IP you enter in the app. Such that you use:
“192.168.1.40:8080”
Thank you
SamerKeymasterWhich port are you using to connect to your OSPi? OSPi defaults to port 8080.
SamerKeymasterAn update was just submitted to Microsoft. It should be live within 24 hours. I will post here when the update is complete to check if the issue persists.
Thank you
SamerKeymasterDoes the app just quit back to the program menu after selecting it? This issue should be resolved now in my testing. The previous build (1.5.0) first introduced this issue and it appeared to be due to a deprecated MS method.
I will do some testing and see what I can find.
Thank you for the report.
November 7, 2016 at 11:50 am in reply to: OSPi 2.1.7 build errors on CentOS 7.2.1511 for Rpi3 #44497
SamerKeymasterThe configuration is modeled around Arduino and follows the same erase procedure on firmware change as the Arduino. This is why the configuration got cleared. Future upgrades will also perform the same reset, so please do backup your configuration before upgrading.
