I think it’s fair to say this is likely an issue with the developer preview rather than the app.

The selection you are showing is a very simple select dialog.

Being a developer release and not final, this will have to wait to see if it continues being an issue.

Update: The first Google result shows this is true: https://code.google.com/p/android-developer-preview/issues/detail?id=1509. In the future, please let me know if the bug is occurring on beta/alpha operating systems as this will help save time debugging.

    Thanks!

@CuriousG In regard to the SD card, I have been flashing very frequent (daily) while leaving the SD card in, without issues. I think it should be safe to leave the SD card in when upgrading.

For the DHCP, prior apps didn’t backup the DHCP setting however moving forward with firmware 2.1 and the app versions supporting it, these settings should restore in the future.

I also have a Nexus 7 and am unable to recreate this issue. Until I can recreate it I doubt there is anything I can do to fix it. If you have any information why it’s going on though please let me know as I would like to fix it.

    Thanks!

That can be done however the reason I went for single input is to allow more help text to be shown. Also, the maximum number of days isn’t very high (4 days I believe) another reason for choosing the single input.

I’ll move it to the suggested dialog and try it out. If it works, I’ll change it over.

    Thanks!

As a quick reply, the OpenSprinkler offers three buttons on the side which have a lot of capability regarding control of the device.

One example, you can cycle programs saved on the device using B3 and one included program is the “test” program which cycles all stations for one minute. You can also make preset programs with specific stations and times for the gardener to run. These programs can have specific names which are displayed on the screen. You can stop all stations from the controller as well.

I hope this gives you an idea of some of the possibilities regarding OpenSprinkler physical interaction.

What version of Android are you using as I am unable to reproduce that on my Android device.

    Thanks!

You are absolutely correct that the pagination on the forum root page is not working. I will get this fixed but in the meantime, I have removed them and labeled them “Recent Topics”. They will be restored once they work again.

Thanks for the report and screenshot!

Most attachments didn’t migrate over to the new forum and unfortunately previous attachments are no longer present.

Hopefully, Virtus can re-upload otherwise I will look and see if I can recover a working copy of the plugin.

The document itself (the attached PDF) has its own “advanced topics” section which is what Ray is referring to.

Thank you for the detailed reply and information. There was a bug in the duration calculation which has now been fixed. Please let us know if your issue is resolved now.

I cleaned up your previous posts and fixed the forum and should allow the <p> tags now (a consequence of preview/visual editing).

We have tried to emulate your settings but cannot reproduce your issue. Would you mind emailing me ([email protected]) an export of your configuration or posting it as a private reply here? Please remove your weather underground key from the export.

Starting with firmware 2.0.9, the device uses the same UI on both the desktop and the app and will do so moving forward. The screenshot you referenced is the UI used before firmware 2.0.9.

I didn’t but that confirms my suspicion it was a caching issue. When I first switched over the server and DNS host, I opted for more aggressive caching of the UI assets which was untested. This caused GZIPped assets to corrupt in transit (the content encoding header was missing) causing the file to be misinterpreted by the client.

Thank you for letting me know it works now.

That’s not a real error. It is occurring only because you have the console open and as a result trying to find the map file to the minified JavaScript.

Does the app report no preview for current day or no message at all?

All of my testing has shown this works fine. I am not sure why you are experiencing issues.

For now, if it’s still not working, please just use the default location for the files.

I will continue looking into this however until I am able to recreate it, I likely won’t be able to fix it.

I can look into the unread posts page and link as well as the mark all forums/posts as read. I will let you know once this is achieved.

I don’t quite understand what you mean in regard to “new items”. Also, where are you able to click the date/time?

    Thanks!

Currently, the forum does not have its own image upload however any image hosting service will work and linking the image should show the actual image within the forum.

In the future, I will see what can be done (and if it’s needed) about hosting pictures on the forum.

It seems you are using UI.zip even though the document says if you are using firmware 2.0.5 you should use UI-old.zip.

Please try with the other zip and let me know if you continue to have issues.

    Thanks

I upgraded to to the beta and don’t understand what I did wrong when trying to export my setup for restoring.

Well hopefully you exported your data before upgrading.

I tried the export to email and export to file but there was no promts. I tried several times.I clicked local but when I restated and tried to import there was nothing but a file in windows notebook that is not recognized. Is there a chance that my setup is still around? What normanly should show when you click export email or file or local?

Exporting to file will cause the browser to download a file, typically to your download directory. Local saves it to the application’s internal storage. This should persist through upgrades, etc. If a backup is found within the app, the import button will present an option to restore from internal storage. If you have a file on your desktop, named backup.json, then you have a backup on your computer. You can also use that to import. Export email will open your default email client with an email drafted with the backup as the content. File just downloads a file.

If you don’t mind, can you open the console in the developer tools on your browser and paste the error, if any.

In Chrome, you can right click on the page and push “Inspect Element”. There you can find a tab called “console” which should show any error messages in red.

@vinny, This was removed from the firmware which is why the app no longer reports it. We will re-discuss this and see if we can get this added back.

    @denis.french, Glad it works now!
