RottenMuttParticipantPretty sure isn’t confirmation! I’ve tried both 64 and 32 bit versions. Guess I need to figure out how to install a older version.
RottenMuttParticipantThank you for the reply Ray. No errors. Clean buster installation with OpenSprinkler.
Can you confirm buster x64 works?
RottenMuttParticipantCan’t you populate the header extension on the ospi main board…
RottenMuttParticipantWhy the change? I bought off Amazon, wasn’t a choice for 2.X so I got the wrong one.
How is addressing determined one v2? No jumper…
RottenMuttParticipanti think it is limited to 500mA, so 2.5 watts…
i got my main board, so let it be known my expansion board is also dead… so anyone with a lightning strike, the whole system needs to be replaced. trash it all…
RottenMuttParticipantHow do I see the weather calculations in the new app?
RottenMuttParticipantiPad app…

I’ve been reporting my data to Ambient Weather, which gives free access to your data. there is a apps for phons, iPads and for SmartThings, which updates every minute, and ambient weather also has IFTTT integration.
I’m running a meteobridge device, see screen shot below, which uploads to ambient, PWS network, WU, and CWOP..

RottenMuttParticipantI see the weather api link at the bottom of their page, but that appears to be the old system.

RottenMuttParticipanti have a windows 10 computer on wifi and it has a problem getting back a network connection after the dhcp lease has expired… this started about about 6-9 months ago. i’m on a r8000 router running as access point and clearOS as my firewall/router. for some reason i think this is something netgear changed in their firmware… are u guys with problems on netgear hardware???
January 26, 2019 at 9:16 pm in reply to: My Open Sprinkler has been having trouble connecting lately #53864
RottenMuttParticipantIt is probably a problem with renewing the dhcp lease, probably try static IP address. I set my dhcp lease as static on my dhcp server (router).
If I reset my access point I find I have to power cycle usually. My OpenSprinkler is plugged into a smart outlet so I can do it remote.
edit: i’m running on raspberry pi
RottenMuttParticipantthen why won’t my system update?
RottenMuttParticipantIs 2.1.8 available for the RPI?
RottenMuttParticipantSame when running app on iPhone.
RottenMuttParticipantStill waiting for the pause feature.
RottenMuttParticipantI think WU site is busy because of Irma, and perhaps OpenSprinkler timeout period needs to be increased.
RottenMuttParticipantSame problem. For some reason it says i have exceeded my rate allowed and have used 2 rain drops the last two days.
RottenMuttParticipantWe are hoping to get a cumulative per week rain/sprinkler total.
RottenMuttParticipantYou could use two sprinkler valves per bowl, one to flow unrestricted to flush, and the the second with a restricter to fill.
RottenMuttParticipant+1 for considering forecast
+1 seven day a week rain averageNovember 12, 2016 at 11:35 pm in reply to: Moving home and (probably) leaving my OpenSprinkerPi behind #44574
RottenMuttParticipantI think easiest is to log in with monitor and keyboard.
Set wifi using the following instructions https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/wireless/wireless-cli.mdI do wish there was a pkg to connect to wifi like Amazon Echo and Skybell. Would need input button on OpenSprinkler board to reset wifi to access point.
