SamerKeymasterIn order to build the
app.js
you can use the following command:npx grunt buildFW
The result will be an
app.js
andapp.css
which should be what you need. Please let me know if you run into any issues!
SamerKeymasterJust wanted to mention the UI is available on Github here: https://github.com/OpenSprinkler/OpenSprinkler-App.
SamerKeymasterWe changed our Captcha and it seems we missed testing login with the app. Thank you for pointing this out!
This should be fixed now. Please try again now and if you continue to have issues please let us know.
SamerKeymasterFor site deletion, we have added a prompt and will be pushing this update ASAP.
Thank you for the feedback!

SamerKeymasterIt’s a grunt task and can be generated by running:
npx grunt build
SamerKeymasterURL Forwarding sounds like it’s an HTTP based redirect which I don’t think iOS would allow. I also noticed you said going directly to
mydomain.com:1000
does not work. The only thing that’s possible is that you are using a self signed SSL certificate. If so, iOS application will not allow self signed certificates and will require you to get a legitimate one (eg. https://letsencrypt.org/).Let us know if you are not using SSL and we can see what other diagnostics we can do to help understand this.
Thanks!
SamerKeymasterYes, it would add it as a separate device which should have synced between your devices automatically once added.
SamerKeymasterCould you try clicking yes on both devices and letting both sync and trying again?
SamerKeymasterCould you possibly right click and inspect the web page? If so, look for any errors in the console (written in red). If you find any could you please share the message here?
Thank you!
SamerKeymasterCan you access the IP provided from Safari on the same device?
If not, I would work on figuring out why you can’t reach it which should solve the app issue. The IP does seem odd if you aren’t expecting that almost suggesting you might have a double NAT.
SamerKeymasterJust so this doesn’t get lost in the shuffle, can you please file a feature request on Github for this?
https://github.com/opensprinkler/opensprinkler-app/issues
Thank you!
SamerKeymasterThe work is not lost, we still have the translations in JSON format on the Github repo and used in the app. For future translations, you can submit a PR to the JSON files here:
https://github.com/OpenSprinkler/OpenSprinkler-App/tree/master/www/locale
I will try to find another solution for the long term but for now please proceed with a PR.
Thank you!
SamerKeymasterCorrect, the same change made for Android is also made for iOS however I haven’t pushed an update there yet.
Support for firmware 2.1.9 is almost complete so an update is coming soon. That update will include this fix.
Thanks for letting us know!
SamerKeymasterThat’s a wonderful idea! I heard your request for something like this before but the manage sites page is a perfect place for this!
I am hoping to do some development on the app soon and will include this in the work.
Thanks for the suggestion!
SamerKeymasterI have finally addressed this by making the button select an image from the file picker in Android. This was just pushed out to both Amazon and Google stores as 2.0.3.
This should be more flexible and accommodate all users while we build more of a UI to handle which one the user might want.
Thank you for your patience!
SamerKeymasterJust tap the station card on the homepage. This will prompt for a duration which can quickly be set to a minute and started.
Hope that helps!
SamerKeymasterWe have pushed 2.0.1 which improves the detection of your region but also adds an explicit option to change the units to metric. This is available in the options page under the first section.
SamerKeymasterCan you please verify you have installed 1.8.8? You can find the version in the about page from the left hand side menu.
SamerKeymasterI believe this issue has been rectified in 1.8.8. Please let me know if you receive this version and continue to have issues.
Thank you very much!
SamerKeymasterThank you for letting us know about this problem. We have verified the issue and will get a fix ASAP. This might be tomorrow but in the mean time if you can please use the web browser.
Thank you for your understanding.
SamerKeymasterJust to update this thread: @peter identified the issue and pushed a fix for the problem. This was released last week as 1.8.6.
SamerKeymasterThe only issue with this is storage of the data. The controller can’t store this mapping so we are left with storing it in the app instance and syncing it with the cloud sync we currently have.
Is this the path we want to pursue here?
SamerKeymaster@georgeioak this is about a different issue. For your issue, please try using the following URL in the browser: http://app.opensprinkler.com. This should show your icons when you login.
For everyone else here, this is top priority for me. Thank you for your patience again!
SamerKeymasterJust wanted to update this thread and post that @peter’s update has been pushed in 1.8.6 last week.
SamerKeymasterApologies for the delay in getting back to you on this. No, I have not yet had a chance to take a look at this however I will try to have a look very soon.
Thank you for your patience!
